Finished! 26.2 miles and walking proud!

I finished the marathon, tackling my first and hopefully not last endurance event. Triathlon next? hmmmm...

Thanks for all your support! Hope you enjoy the pics!
At the start, My friends Scott and Jamie on left, and James on the right. Look at all those nice clothes we had to throw away at the starting line. Sporting jerseys, too, wouldn't you say?

The start of the full-marathon... maybe somewhere in the 10,000 participants you can see me... towards the back. Also, the guy I sat next to in the airport at the end of the weekend (5th place male finisher from Kenya) is probably somewhere in the front lines.
Probably about half-way through, and definitely putting my all into every step!

Half-way - see me in the middle?
For anyone who's wondering what kind of thoughts go through your head over the course of a marathon, this hilarious card from my sister pretty much sums it up (she knows, she did one too).
Finish-line security camera catches me pumping my fists in glee, behind the two people in the foreground.Another finish-line photo. Between the thrill and exhaustion, I was pretty emotional, and so happy.
Showing off my finisher's medal. Final time: 4h 57m
At the Team in Training celebration later that night.
The MA chapter of Team in Training, partners in running.
